THE WORKS OF WILLIAM GEORGE STORM ONLINE AUCTION

DESCRIPTION

This online auction, benefiting the Vancouver Art Gallery Acquisition Fund, features a large selection of original works by the artist William George Storm.

The son of the Canadian architect William George Storm. He was killed in action October 9, 1917, likely in the Battle of Poelcappelle, after achieving the rank of Captain and receiving the Military Cross.

Little is known of his background and artistic training but this small glimpse into the quality of his work shows an artist with great ability.

This collection is made up of English landscapes, figurative drawings, war sketches, and commercial renderings from the turn of the 20th century.
